Canadians can rejoice! Spinach is readily available again. Is this the kind of thing people will tell their grandkids about one day? “Way back in 2006, your grandpa and I survived the great spinach ban…”
Here’s an article that bemoans the preachiness of vegetarian restaurants, claiming it’s a big turn-off for those who might like to try a meatless meal or two. I’ve been to many, many vegetarian restaurants over the years, and I can’t once remember noticing the least bit of “moral baggage” (as the author calls it). Maybe it’s a California thing?
It’s time for the great faux turkey smackdown! VegCooking has put together this handy little list of your Thanksgiving bird replacement alternatives, from Tofurky to Unturkey. I’ve never tried any of them before, but I have to admit I’m a little curious. Do you like them?
