Vegetarian New York City: Gobo
I have a huge list of restaurants I like to visit when I go to New York, but this week’s trip was so short I had to choose just a couple to visit. First on my list was Gobo, a vegetarian haven in Greenwich Village.
I’ve tried so many things from their menu (which you can see on their website), and every single one of them has been delicious (well, except for the desserts, but I’m not big on desserts anyway). This time I had the crispy spinach and spy cheese wontons followed by the natural seitan medallion in sizzling spicy citrus sauce. Heavenly!
I also sipped on a bubble tea, which contains giant gummy tapioca pearls that you suck up through an extra-wide straw. Interesting.
Even my omnivorous dining companions agreed that the food was delicious. They were disappointed by the desserts, but loved everything else they tried at Gobo. We’ll be back.
