Vegetarian Carnival #4: summer in the kitchen
Welcome to the July 30th edition of the vegetarian carnival. Step right up and enjoy the delicious vegetarian delicacies being served up around the interwebs. Today we have a variety of summer treats for your enjoyment.
Stephanie shows you how to deal with all those surplus garden cukes in Cucumbers Frozen? Cucumbers Fried? Really! posted at Stop the Ride!. Check out some fun things to do with figs over at eternallycool.net. And Mitchell Surface tells us about one of his summer favorites, pressure cooker baked beans, over at Surface Tensions.
Summer time is blender time! Cherry shares some summer meal ideas in 3 Easy Healthy Recipes With Blender posted at My Diet Methods Reviews and Recipes. Annette Berlin also gets in on the blender action with a recipe for Orange Smoothies at Frugal Journey. Not into using your own blender for smoothies? Give Chris Denny’s Smoothie King Math a try.
Over at Facipiers and Stinky Toes, Linsey B. Knerl has discovered one of my all-time favorites, fried squash flowers. Shawntrell Miles presents a photo essay on sweet taters posted at Feeding Jackson.
Moving on to some healthy eating tips… Organic is important! Will presents The Dirty Dozen of Food posted at The Simple Healthy Life. Golbguru presents Horrible Stuff In Your French Fries And Potato Chips posted at The Tao of Good Health.
And finally, Christopher Howse explains why Homer Simpson has it wrong in You DO Make Friends with Salad posted at About Tofu.
And there you have it for this carnival. Submit your blog article to the next edition of the vegetarian carnival, hosted at Country Kitchen Pantry, using our carnival submission form. Past posts and future hosts can be found on the blog carnival index page. As always, those interested in hosting a future edition of the carnival should contact me (jul at b5media dot com).
