Vegan Victory: I Finally Found The Perfect Teriyaki Sauce!
Remember, small victories are important.
I’ve lamented on this very site about my three-year process desperately spent trying to find a teriyaki sauce that tastes like teriyaki sauce! You know, the yummy kind you get in restaurants. I’ve tried cooking my own, to no avail. I searched all sorts of fancy Asian-themed shops and health food markets. Nothing but horrible salty swill. How can they call this brown salt water ‘authentic’ teriyaki?!
And then…just wandering through my neighborhood grocery supermarket, I saw one that looked promising. I debated for at least five minutes. I couldn’t take another disappointment. But finally, swayed by the cute story on back of the bottle, I bought it. I tried it today…it’s what I’ve been looking for! Oh, happy day.
It’s called Veri Veri Teriyaki, by a company called Vay Soy. It’s completely vegan, and completely yummy. Look for it in your town. Now eating vegetables will be a breeze!

Have you tried making your own? I think it’s pretty simple. I don’t have a favorite recipe but I’m sure there are some good ones around.
