The roving vegetarian: eating my way around Munich
I’m in Munich this week, house hunting and getting to know the various neighborhoods. Since we’re staying in a hotel, I’ve also had the chance to try out plenty of restaurants. Munich is a big city and offers a lot of variety, even for those of us who don’t eat sausage…

A yummy Thai coconut red curry.

Veggie sushi: spinach, red bell pepper, and cucumber.

Tofu and veggies (better than it looks).

Soybeans, TVP, red peppers and broccoli in a delicious sauce (I forgot to write down what it was, but it was good!) at an organic vegetarian cafe.

Potato and pumpkin gratin with mushrooms and tomatoes (and a mixed salad).

Spinach spatzle with salad. Good stuff.

Hi there I’ll be in Munich next week! Care to share the lovely veggie friendly restaurants there?
I’m lucky my friend in Munich is a vegetarian, but I want to explore a few places by my self too!
These dishes look amazing!
And the Germans have taken the organic and vegan movement seriously!!!
In Berlin (where I spent a lot of time during winter) only in my neighborhood there are 3 organic markets!!!

Anny - be sure to check out Prinz Myshkin - it’s amazing (see my post from today about it). Have a great trip!
I love how many natural foods stores there are to be found around Munich. I’m really looking forward to moving there in January.
