Some foods just don’t go together
I love garlic-stuffed green olives. I picked up a couple jars of them the other day… or so I thought. They were sitting together on the shelf, but I didn’t look closely enough at the second package, and when I got home I found out that one of them was green olives stuffed with almonds (if you look closely at the picture, you’ll see “Mandeln” on the left and “Knoblauch” on the right - German for “almonds” and “garlic”).
I like olives, and I like almonds, but I didn’t have a good feeling about this combination. And, yeah, they tasted all wrong. I ended up de-almonding most of the olives. :)
Are there any food combinations you hate?

I guess someone has to like them. Otherwise they wouldn’t sell them! :)

I’ve had these before and also think they’re wonderful.
In contrast I’ve just been reading about chocolate baked beans - now they really are two foods that don’t go together.

I’ve never had either kind of olives but like the sound of both. Chocolate baked beans….Yuck!
I’m going to miss your blog,Jul! I really have enjoyed reading it.
