Mmmmmm…. Italy
I just got back from a week of eating my way through Italy. Details coming soon, including reviews of a couple new vegetarian restaurants I got to try. My mouth is watering just thinking about them.

Photo: Pici (thick Tuscan noodles) with mushrooms. So yummy.

Jul, you trip across some lovely foods, but pasta with mushrooms is a real treat. And, bonus, now I know what to make for dinner tonight!
Cheers.

I bet it was delicious. I’ve never been to Tuscany but I know that steak is very big there. Was it hard to find vegetarian meals?

I think I could eat some version of pasta and mushrooms 2 meals a day for a week at a time it’s so good! :)
I didn’t see a single steak (although I wasn’t exactly looking for it) in Tuscany. There are always vegetarian pastas, salads, cheeses, and side dishes on the menu at Italian restaurants, so I never have a problem eating well there. Vegetarian ’secondi’ are harder to find, but there’s plenty of food in the other courses - I’ve definitely never gone hungry!
