Big red juicy pomegranates

Pomegranates are becoming more popular in the US these days, especially in juice form. Juice companies are touting a whole lot of health benefits from the juice, but in reality most of these claims are probably unfounded. But that doesn’t mean pomegranates don’t make healthy and delicious snacks!
You can eat the seeds and the red, juicy flesh around them. Avoid the white membranes, though - they’re very bitter. You’ll also want to avoid the seeds with brownish fruit around them (there seem to be a couple of these inside every pomegranate).
You can also slice a pomegranate in half and juice it like an orange (although you should push a little bit more delicately on the juicer).
